Getting it together

So I guess it's time to get up now... and I just did. Here's a flower vase I painted during my time in Mexico this summer. It's acrylic on paper. Today I will focus very hard on my paint work. It went well.kinda of exciting and hectic...in the last few hours leading upto it... But it wasnt bad at all.

Painting

I think tomorow I only have a few things that I have to do before leaving . And also, i want to finish this painting more. I really want to have it looking really nice for the show, I hope i get enough time to work on it.

cutting papers, cleaning glass, cleaning frames..and signing my drawings..and stuff, is what im doing! yAY..foor the show, that will be THIS friday! Im excited.

Granny Francis - school work

Heres a render of the old lady.. or Granny, I very quickly during my presentation on the 'project', named her Francis. I think it suits her well. This was not a great project, everything was rushed, i think. But she looks kinda cute, animating sucked a bit. I might re-work her later on (beggining at the end of the modeling process). But, next, i will prepare the guy i modeled before, for my Character Animation class, so i can animate him.

Collaboration

collaboration between Aldo and me. We each drew certain phases of it..He started the drawing, then i reshaped a little and inked.. then he shaded more. Then from that point on, we each did our own versions.

There is an artist who did a series of 'blue dog' paintings, his name is George Rodrigue. and his paintings famous.

I can paint whatever I want. And, i think, thats what artists do. they paint what they want to paint. someone will find a piece they like and buy it, or not find one, and move one.

I really love and enjoy what i do.

Okay, heres an entry of words from my mind..and such.

a rant some might call it. ..that i will later add to drafts. So if youre reading this... Lucky you!! heh,..No, just kidding.


skinning and rigging really sucks. Its working very terribly for me. Ive never successfuly rigged or skinned anything..so, it sucks to not be able to do that for my models.

and..because ive never rigged any of my models..ive never gotten the chance to see how they move, and how well i set up my typology. WEll, this lady thing..she isnt so well modled..but i also didnt finish modeling to where i was happy with her..because i had to do more things with her, to get a grade.

So, yes. I think..if i just could work at my own pase, i could do well on a 3d character..maybe id even correctly rig and skin.

I will not do this for a living. I just cant. And for that im happy. but i would like to incorporate 3d models into my paintings at some point. I do somewhat enjoy modeling..i enjoy the end product. and i can stand it. i dont love it.

I do love painting though. Ill make a living of it. I will. and not for the sake of making of living off of it. But because its my passion. to paint, to make finished pretty pieces..and to keep getting better at doing it. And to not have to work jobs ill hate.

Cus..i dont really want to work.

soo.. In conclusion:

I love to paint. soo..i dont really care much, that i suck for not having learned what i should have at school. its not what i want to do.

and, its okay. :)
i just have to make sure to pass all my classes and graduate as soon as possible. so i can leave it behind me..and just have a paper to show for it.

more current progress, on granny model

i have to fix her face a bit still, make her more feminine.. Its an old lady. so i might add rollers in hair or something (she doesnt have any hair yet). ill give her some shoes.. and texture her. Also i have to rig her. for that, ill use a biped in max, and animate her there, too.

havent worked on this, in two nights or so... but thats what i had. shall continue working on it soon.
